Are you without hot water or heating? Can you see a fault code on your boiler? Below you’ll find details about any potential faults codes. Please contact your installer if these don’t help resolve your problem.

My central heating boiler has broken down, can Intergas come take a look?

In such an event, please call your installer to come help resolve your boiler’s problem. You can find out who your installer is from your warranty card or your purchase invoice. If you took out a maintenance contact, please call your service company. Please follow the above guidelines, regardless of how old your boiler is, even in the first two years of your factory warranty. If you live in rented accommodation, please contact your landlord or housing association.

How can I check my boiler's water pressure?

The pressure is displayed on the service screen when the appliance is turned OFF. If the pressure is less than 0.5 bar during normal use, then this will be displayed in flashing lights.

How can I top up my boiler?

To ensure your boiler continues to function properly, the pressure needs to be set to between 1 and 2 bar. This is the pressure while cold. The pressure is displayed on the service screen when the boiler is turned OFF. If the pressure is less than 0.5 bar during normal use, then this will be displayed in flashing lights. If the pressure is too low, please top up your system as follows:

  • Connect filler hose to cold water tap and fill hose with water until no air bubbles present.
  • Connect filler hose to filler/drainage tap below appliance.
  • First open cold top and then filler/drainage tap.
  • Fill appliance/system until water pressure is between 1 and 2 bar (when cold).
  • First close filler/drainage tap and then cold water tap.
  • Bleed system after filling.

Inform your installer if the system needs filling several times a year, as there may be a leak.

How do I bleed the system?

You should bleed your system after topping it up or when newly installed. Air in the system can cause strange noises. Bleed the system as follows:

  • Open bleed valve on top left of appliance.
  • Open bleed valves on radiators or in pipes.
  • Check system water pressure after bleeding (between 1 and 2 bar) – repeat if pressure is too low.
